Week 2 Awesome Deals (July 12-18):
Office Depot (mainly 25¢ deals)
scissors - Office Depot brand - 25¢ - limit 3
*my store already was out of scissors at 11 a.m., so they substituted Fiskars scissors - yay me! I have color coded group supplies (another post coming soon), and need purple. I will go back first thing tomorrow to try to get 3 more purples for a group set!
5-pack highlighters - Office Depot brand - 25¢ - limit 3
*these highlight fairly well, but for a nickel apiece, I'll be happy if they last at least half the year. I will go back for more.
Scholastic crayons - 25¢ - limit 3
*I bought these for students who don't bring supplies, very few at my school. These are definitely no Crayolas, but they'll do in a pinch. Last year ToysRUs had Crayola products Buy 1, get 2 free and I'm hoping they do this sale again. Each box came out to 33¢ apiece.
Single Sharpies - 25¢ - limit 3
*They have regular Sharpies, click Sharpies, thin Sharpies, and even fabric Sharpies. I got a bright pink, baby blue, and orange - 3 of my favorite non-standard colors. Will get purple and lime green when I go back for more scissors.
4-pack glue sticks - Office Depot brand - limit 3
*I still have a ton of these left over from last year, not sure how I got so lucky, but the kids hardly used any. Great deal if you need them though!
Bic Wite-Out 2-pack - $2 - limit ?
*Always in need of this, a double pack should last me all school year. Unsure of limit.
Paper-Mate Mechanical pencils 12-pack - $2 - limit ?
*My second favorite purchase, behind the scissors, but these are for my personal use. I'm not sure why, but I've always loved these type of pencils that you twirl the base for the lead to come out... maybe it's because they were always the ones my mom and grandma preferred so I grew up to prefer them as well (Love you Mommy and Grandma!). I only bought one box, will definitely buy another box or two when I go back.
Spiral Notebooks - 50¢ - limit 3
*I only bought one of these in blue because that's our Math color, and I want to do some pre-planning of my math notebook this year. However, I'm glad I purchased it, this is a high-quality notebook and should last for a long time.

Staples (All-season long sales)
I haven't been here yet because it's on the other side of town, but I'll be out that way tomorrow for these supplies. I've included a picture of all of the season-wide deals, but only wrote about the ones I directly need for my classroom.
Spiral notebooks - 25¢ - no limit listed
*I need a class set of either orange or purple notebooks, so I'm going to go ahead and buy them for a quarter. If I find them for 15¢ or less elsewhere, I'll return these.
Index cards - 48¢ - no limit listed
*My first question, what marketing guru came up with 48¢ and why? I'll buy several packs of these for the year, 100 cards per pack.
2-pocket paper folders - 15¢ - no limit listed
*I need to stock up on these again this year, I will grab these this week so I can be sure to get class sets of the same color.

*Again, I don't need these, but a great deal at 25¢ apiece!
12-pack Bic Ball-Point pens - $2 - no limit listed
*I need to get these in blue and red for the students' writers' notebooks and for checking papers.
12-pack Ticonderoga pencils - $2 - no limit listed
*Good deal for quality pencils.
2-pack Bic Wite-Out - $2 - no limit listed
*Same deal as Office Depot, take your pick.
3-pack lead refills - $3 - no limit listed
*If you like to have students use mechanical pencils, or use them yourself, seems like a good deal on lead - both 0.5 and 0.7 thickness available.
